LANET Conference will have no modifications despite the earthquake

LANET 2017

Description

The aim of LANET is to provide with a forum to join all scientists who are somehow related to the research on Network Science in Latin America.

The rapid growth of the field of Network Science in the last two decades has manifested in the form of schools, workshops and conferences in Latin America. However, the creation of LANET as a stable and periodic forum devoted to Network Science will further spur the formation of research groups interested in the field and help to establish it as a discipline across Latin American Universities and Research Institutions.

The first edition will be organized by the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Puebla, México) and, tentatively, we plan LANET to have a periodicity of two years with different locations in Latin America.

SCHEDULE

Schedule & Book of Abstracts

Follow this link to find the schedule and book of abstracts of the LANET Conference together with the title and day of the oral contributions (information about the poster format can also be found).

Contributions & Registration

Submit a Contribution!

The official term form submitting contributions has officially finished. However, we still have space for additional poster submissions. If you are interested in participating in the Conference with a poster (or without any contribution), please, follow the link to Easychair, select "poster" as the kind of contribution and submit your abstract before 1st July. Just follow these 3 simple steps:

(1) Make the list of authors, affiliations and emails.
(2) Prepare an abstract of your contribution (up to 500 words) ("No contribution" if it is the case).
(4) Go to the Easychair link of the conference and upload all the previous information (selecting the option "poster").

If you just want to attend the Conference, without submitting any contribution, also go to the Easychair link and select the option "No contribution". Note that the acceptance of contributions will depend on the evaluation of the LANET 2017 Scientific Committee.

Submit your abstract for the Conference Proceedings

In case your contribution (oral/poster) has been accepted , please, follow this link to send us the final version of your abstract, which will be published at the Conference Proceedings of the LANET 2017. Please, do it before July 1st.

Registration

We have made an effort to reduce the conference fees and allow attendance in case of reduced budget. In this way, registration fees include all conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches and the attendance to the special dinner:

Students (undergraduate/PhD): 150 USD / 2850 MXN / 125 EUR (early bird)
Seniors (including postdocs): 300 USD / 5700 MXN / 250 EUR (early bird)

Students (undergraduate/PhD): 250 USD / 4759 MXN / 208 EUR (at the conference)
Seniors (including postdocs): 400 USD / 7600 MXN / 333 EUR (at the conference)

Registration to LANET 2017 is now open here (or here http://lanetconference.org/registration.html). Please, consider that early bird registration to the conference ends on 9th July. Registrations between 9th July and 15th September will be increased by 50 USD (Students: 200 USD / Seniors: 350 USD). Registration directly at the Conference will be increased by 100 dollars (i.e., Students: 250 USD / Seniors: 400 USD).

1st LANET INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

We have taken the advantage of having together the best scientists working on Network Science and organized a one-day School on Fundamentals and Applications of Network Science. The school will be held at the Conference location one day before its beginning, i.e. 25th September. If you want to attend the School, please, make a reservation through Eventbrite before 9th September (extended deadline). Also note that an additional registration fee of 75 dollars applies to students taking part of the School (again, a short number of waivers will be given). The payment of the School fees will be done directly at the Registration desk (in cash or credit card) the day the School starts. Due to the reduced number of vacancies (50), the Organizing Committee will select the final list of accepted students between all applications. Once the final list will be published, instructions about how to pay the School Fees will be given at the web page. The program of the School will be included here soon, meanwhile we can announce that lecturers will be:
